The centre-forward, who also played for Newcastle United, Leicester City and Stoke City, played for Lincoln from 1950/51-1954/55, 1955/56 and 1958/59-1960/61. Tributes have already been pouring in on social media with many fans calling him a "legend" and "true gent".
