A NEW digital marketing company is aiming to make a "Splash" in East Yorkshire's creative sector.
Panda Splash is the brainchild of Rich Quelch, Gavin Appleby, John Quelch and Dave Thompson.
Based at the Brough Business Centre in Skillings Lane, the business has already completed two of its first major projects, one of which involved designing, developing and building the official website for Chelsea and England international footballer Gary Cahill.
Despite being less than three months old, the company has already had to negotiate larger premises on its existing site after outgrowing its present home.
Rich said: "Our strapline is clever digital marketing, in areas such as building and developing websites, SEO (search engine optimisation) and app design.
"Obviously we provide offline services to complement this, too, but digital is where our real expertise lies.
"Gary Cahill's website has now gone live and, through a partnership we have forged with a sports management company, we have also designed websites for a number of professional golfers."
Rich has vast experience in the digital marketing world having explained the merits of social media to hundreds of delegates at conferences, as well as helping clients make the most of innovative web design.
Last year, he was named Young Achiever of The Year at the Mail News & Media Business Awards in his current role as marketing director at eskimosoup.
He said this kind of industry recognition helped spur him on to set up his own business.
"I had been thinking about setting up my own business and becoming my own boss for a while, it's something I've thought about probably for a few years.
"But recognised by my peers gave me the confidence and the push I needed to follow my entrepreneurial streak.
"Panda Splash's ethos is to make the client feel part of the marketing team and really integrate them in the development of their marketing project, and I believe the team genuinely has something new and innovative to offer." Reported by This is 4 hours ago.
